Requirements

• Classroom Caregiving Practices
• Maintains and ensures a safe, clean and healthy learning environment
• Provides effective and nurturing teacher-child interactions
• Promotes family partnerships and parent involvement
• Completes screenings and ongoing developmental assessments requirements for children
• Plans for daily routines and transitions
• Works in cooperation with other Infant/Toddler caregivers
• Provides adaptations or accommodations to the classroom environment and curriculum
• Safeguards confidentiality of personal information of children and families
• Prepares food service; breakfast, lunch and snacks
• Provides substitute coverage as needed
• Attends pertinent training, workshops and conferences
• Remains current in ECE/Child Development best practices
• Completes child and family documentation
• Further relationships within site, position, region, agency and community
• Reports any suspected child abuse as required by state law
