Role OverviewThe Infection Control/Wound Care Nurse directs managerial functions of planning, organizing, coordinating, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the Infection Control Program. The ICN has the authority of Medical Staff and Governing Body to take necessary steps to prevent and/or control the acquisition and transmission of infectious agents in the patient, staff, and visitor populations.
What You Will Do
Assess, treat, and document wounds for patients in accordance with wound care protocols. Implement infection control measures, including isolation precautions and sterilization techniques in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines.

Must obtain certification in Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) and Wound Care within 6 months of hire and maintain active certification throughout employment to meet industry standards.
Requirements
- Valid LVN license in California.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with wound care products and infection prevention protocols.
- 2+ years of clinical experience in wound care or infection prevention preferred.
- Previous experience in an acute care, long-term care, or similar healthcare setting desirable.
- Must obtain certification in Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) and Wound Care within 6 months of hire and maintain active certification throughout employment to meet industry standards.
