Role Overview

The Staff Development / Infection Prevention Nurse will assist in providing leadership, oversight, and administration to all long-term care operations, ensuring maximum operating efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with state and federal rules and regulations. This role involves developing, monitoring, and improving facility quality standards.

What You Will Do

Develop and implement educational programs for nursing staff, lead training sessions, and collaborate with nursing leadership to identify training needs. Develop and manage the facility's infection control program, conduct regular infection risk assessments, and investigate infection control issues.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in infection control in a Skilled Nursing and/or Long-Term Care setting
  • Strong understanding of local, state, and federal infection control guidelines for healthcare facilities
  • Certified in Infection Control (CIC) preferred
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
