Role OverviewThe Information Services Specialist II assists the Supervisor with effective operation of the Information Services Department. The role involves providing customer service, responding to queries, and promoting library programs and services. The team works in a dynamic environment, adapting to change and variety within the workplace. The role is part of the Maring-Hunt Library team, which provides a range of services, including free public access computer use, free Wi-Fi, and community meeting space.
What You Will Do
The main responsibilities of this role include researching and responding to customer queries, providing Readers Advisory Services, and training the public on library resources and technology. The Specialist will also assist with collection development and maintenance, plan and host adult programs, and participate in community outreach events.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Ability to obtain an LC4 or higher Indiana Librarian Certification (IAC 5-1-8)
- Some library work experience (preferred)
