Role OverviewPeraton is seeking a highly motivated and high-performing Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to support our Department of Defense (DoD) customer. The successful candidate will contribute to protecting national security interests by leveraging technical expertise, analytical skills, and innovative problem-solving to address complex cyber challenges.
What You Will Do
The successful candidate will perform tasks such as supporting the ISSO with Log Review/Analysis, conducting Vulnerability Analysis, and utilizing DevOps, SecOps methodologies to analyze and ensure that development requirements effectively integrate security requirements throughout the entire process.

Requirements
- Experience working with software developers and architects to understand security requirements
- Experience guiding application developers on security policy, identifying security requirements, providing technical guidance for the satisfaction of requirements
- DISA STIGs and STIG Viewer experience
- Hands-on experience in developing and validating control implementations and test procedures
- Knowledge of current security risks and protocols
- Active IAT Level II certification (CompTIA Security+ preferred)
- Security Clearance: Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience, or Master’s Degree and 6+ years of experience, or 3 years with PhD
Benefits
- Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000
- Overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay
