Role OverviewJT4 China Lake is seeking an Information Systems Security Specialist to assess, develop, and implement programs and controls to increase cybersecurity. The role requires a detail-oriented individual with great problem-solving and analytical skills, and a passion for cybersecurity.
What You Will Do
The Information Systems Security Specialist will monitor information systems, develop and update System Security Plans, manage and control changes to systems, conduct audits, provide incident response, and assess security impact of changes.

An ideal candidate will have an active DoD secret clearance, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and experience with Microsoft Office, Access, and Visio.
Requirements
- Associates or higher degree in Computer/Information Technology, or equivalent academic/technical training/certification
- Two to three years of experience in computer system security and/or related areas of expertise
- Compliance to DoD 8570.01-M levels and possession of Security+ certification with a CISSP desired
- Experience with JSIG, NIST 800 and NISPOM, Chapter 8
- Microsoft Office, Access, and Visio skills
- Experience supporting various system configurations such as Stand Alone, Local Area Networks, and Wide Area Networks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, planning, and organizing skills
- Ability to work under deadlines
- Valid, state-issued driver's license
