Role OverviewThis role is responsible for assessing, developing and implementing programs and controls set in place to help increase cybersecurity within the company. The Information Systems Security Specialist will be detail-oriented, have great problem-solving and analytical skills, and a passion for cybersecurity.
What You Will Do
Provides incident handling, writes and maintains computer security processes, monitors computer system use and audits logs, makes recommendations for future hardware / software implementations, and provides security training and awareness briefings.

Requirements
- Associates or higher degree in Computer/Information Technology, or equivalent academic/technical training/certification
- Five years of experience in computer system security and/or related areas of expertise
- Compliance to DoD 8570.01-M levels and Security+ certification with a CISSP desired
- Experience with JSIG, NIST 800, and NISPOM, Chapter 8
- Microsoft Office, Access, and Visio skills
- Experience supporting various system configurations
- Excellent verbal and written communications, planning, and organizing skills
- Ability to work under deadlines
- Ability to work in a field environment at remote locations with occasional overnight assignments
- Qualification for and maintenance of a government security clearance
- Valid, state-issued driver's license
