Job Description
The State of Connecticut, Department of Administrative Services (DAS), Bureau of Information Technology Solutions (BITS), is currently accepting applications for an Information Technology Analyst 1 position in the Agency Success unit. This position will primarily be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of multiple Enterprise applications, providing administrative support, managing user accounts, configuring core application features, and developing, maintaining, and optimizing reports and dashboards.
Requirements
Five (5) years of experience in information technology (IT) operations support, programming or another IT related support area.
Two (2) years of the General Experience must have been performing basic technical support work in such areas as help desk functions, installing and maintaining basic computer hardware and software, data communications, microcomputer support, production control or programming.
College training in management information systems, computer science or information technology related area may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equalling one-half (1/2) year of experience to a maximum of four (4) years for a Bachelor's degree.
A Master's degree in management information systems, computer science or electrical engineering may be substituted for the General and Special Experience.
For state employees two (2) years as an Information Technology Technician may be substituted for the General and Special Experience.
Successful completion of an Information Technology Analyst Trainee program approved by the Department of Administrative Services may be substituted for the General and Special Experience.
Experience with application installation, administration, and upgrades
Experience with Customer Support and Help Desk practices
Experience analyzing and troubleshooting technical issues
Experience working independently in a team environment
Experience with Microsoft 365 tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Power Automate
