Role OverviewThe Department of Children and Youth is seeking an experienced IT leader to oversee application infrastructure support, middleware, and database operations while managing a diverse technical team. The IT Manager will lead and manage a team of Cloud Engineers, DBAs, CI/CD Engineers, batch scheduling, and middleware support. The role requires a strong understanding of IT architecture components, developing IT strategic plans, preparing and making presentations/public speaking, writing IT-related policy and procedures, preparing and monitoring budgets, providing cost and resources estimates, and contract management.
What You Will Do
The IT Manager will oversee planning, design, production, and maintenance of application infrastructure, manage project timelines, resource allocation, budgets, contracts, and licenses. The role also involves collaborating with product teams, developers, analysts, and stakeholders to align infrastructure with business goals, providing regular updates on project progress, risks, and roadblocks to senior leadership, and serving as primary contact across IT systems and development teams for infrastructure support.
