Job Description
Information Technology Manager 2 position at the Ohio Department of Administrative Services (DAS) for the Office of Information Technology (OIT)/ISD/ ServiceNow. Responsibilities include managing agency engagements, product development, project delivery, and team supervision. Requires 9-12 years of experience in information technology, project management, and leadership.

Requirements

  • Create and communicate product enhancements, release updates, and other product development efforts to DAS and other agencies.
  • Research, review, and answer technical questions regarding the product when escalated.
  • Facilitate and schedule product meetings.
  • Act as a liaison between various stakeholders, managing stakeholders' expectations and ensuring successful communications between project team members.
  • Create project and system reports to keep Executive Management informed of projects and system status.
  • Supervise and/or manage permanent and contingent Information Technology (IT) staff for the ServiceNow team.
  • Assign and monitor tickets to ensure proper and timely resolution.
  • Provide guidance on issues and follow escalation procedures.
  • Assign and prioritize work assignments.
  • Responsible for providing direction for the staff related to the ServiceNow services.
  • Schedules and approves Employee Work Hours Record and OAKS Timesheet for direct reports.
  • Execute performance reviews in accordance with state performance management standards.
  • Oversee the generation of reports and distribute to management.
  • Assist management in developing long-term workforce planning.
  • Assists budget preparation for service area.
  • Oversee escalations and major incidents, including the facilitation of technical and customer bridge lines and coordination of service area assistance.
  • Provide guidance on issues and follow escalation procedures.
  • Evaluates current IT policies, procedures, and practices and makes recommendations.
  • Leads IT-driven change effort.
  • Participates in and/or leads activities to achieve project tasks/meet deadlines.
  • Primary resource for any SOCC OIT audits, provides comments and answers, and coordinated with Auditors to acquire necessary information for compliance.
  • Conducts various meetings with customers to plan disaster recovery tests.
  • Works to onboard Agencies and coordinates with distributed disaster recovery site vendors.
  • Provides advice on managing and directing activities to develop, assess, coordinate, and communicate disaster recovery requirements and business continuity plans.
  • Identifies and documents critical business functions that need to be resumed within a defined time frame.
  • Coordinates development of program area schedules for annual business continuity documentation maintenance and updates, exercises, and independent review and validation.
  • Assists program areas with assessment of potential business impact and definition of critical, time-sensitive functions. Recommends recovery strategies and options.
  • Assists with implementation of recovery solutions.
  • Develops skills necessary to provide and assists with managing risks and changes related to processes, projects, and procedures.
  • Assists in developing project task plans, leading meetings, and other related tasks to gather and coordinate activities for requirements gathering.
