Job Description
As an Infrastructure Automation Engineer 1 at HDR, you will develop and maintain standard VCF Automation blueprints and catalog items, build and update Orchestrator workflows, and support integration of automation requests with ServiceNow service catalog items. The role requires a bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and a minimum of 1 year of experience in infrastructure automation, systems administration, platform operations, or a related technical role. The position supports 24/7 operations and requires scheduled on-call flexibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in infrastructure automation, systems administration, platform operations, or a related technical role
  • Foundational scripting experience in Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, or similar languages
  • Basic understanding of APIs, REST concepts, JSON/YAML, and source control practices
  • Familiarity with CI/CD fundamentals and infrastructure-as-code concepts
  • Ability to follow technical standards, documentation, and change management processes
  • Foundational knowledge of virtualization, server, operating system, and infrastructure concepts
