Job Description
The Florida Department of Children and Families is seeking an Institutional Security Specialist I to monitor and ensure the safety of residents and staff at Florida State Hospital. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player with excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Be at least 19 years of age
  • Be a United States Citizen
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Not have been convicted of any felony or of a misdemeanor involving perjury or a false statement
  • Pass a medical examination and drug test
  • Have a good moral character as determined by a background investigation
  • Must be certified as a Correctional Officer in Florida
