Job Description
KIPP Delta Public Schools is seeking an Instructional Assistant - Special Education to support students with disabilities in Helena-West Helena, AR. The role involves assisting certified special education teachers in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and providing instructional support, behavior management, and personal care services.

Requirements

  • Assist in delivering instructional activities under the supervision of certified teachers
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to reinforce learning objectives
  • Prepare and adapt classroom and instructional materials, displays, and activities to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Implement behavior intervention plans as directed; monitor and document student behavior and progress
  • Promote positive social interactions among students to ensure a safe and supportive environment
  • Assist students with personal care tasks, including feeding, toileting, and mobility
  • Participate in IEP meetings and team discussions as appropriate; communicate effectively with teachers, therapists, and families regarding student progress
  • Maintain confidentiality of student information per school policies and legal requirements
