Role OverviewAssist a certificated teacher in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of students enrolled in special education classrooms. Assist in the preparation of instructional materials and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Provide community based instructional and behavioral support to assigned students.
What You Will Do
Perform a variety of routine clerical duties, assist students with performing and developing proper social behavior, independent living, personal hygiene and self-help skills.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children in an organized setting or learning environment, and be proficient in English and a designated second language.
Requirements
- High School graduate or the equivalent
- Associate Degree or 48-semester units of college course work from an accredited college or university
- Passing scores on District Paraprofessional test, within the last three (3) years
- One year experience in working with children in an organized setting or learning environment
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification within six months of employment
