Role OverviewThe Instructional Assistant, ESS works directly with students to aid in daily educational learning and teaching, supports and assists in preparing instructional materials, and implements lesson plans. Works under the leadership of the teacher or Instructional Leader. Supports and assists in preparing instructional materials and implementing lesson plans. Monitors students during lessons and provides additional individual or small group instruction as needed.
What You Will Do
Provides support services in implementing the instructional plan, monitors students during lessons, researches information for curriculum, implements and prepares lessons under the direction of a teacher, assists teachers with behavior management techniques, helps individual student and small group activities, and maintains individual student folders and student records.

Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Some previous classroom experience
- Current Red Cross First Aid Certificate and CPR certificate
