Role OverviewThe job of Instructional Assistant is to provide support to the instructional program within assigned classrooms, working with students individually or in small groups, and providing clerical support to teachers and staff. This role reports to a designated administrator.
What You Will Do
Adapts classroom activities, assignments, and materials under the direction of the supervising teacher, administers classroom assignments, tests, and homework, and assists students in practicing and reinforcing learning concepts.

Requirements
- Graduation from high school or General Education Development (GED) equivalent
- Some experience working with children in an organized setting
- Passing score on the Lynwood Unified School District Proficiency Assessment (Written Examination)
- CPR/First Aid Certificate
- Valid Class C Driver's License & Evidence of Insurability
- Mandated Reporter Training
- Criminal Background Check
- Pre-Employment Fingerprinting and TB Testing
