Role OverviewThe Instructional Assistant provides classroom supports that enhance the instructional process, working under the direct supervision of a teacher. They assist with safety and welfare of students, provide clerical support, and engage in housekeeping activities. The role involves assisting with lunchroom activities, supervising nap and rest periods, and providing care for children when the teacher is not present.

The main day-to-day responsibilities include working under the supervision of a teacher, providing classroom-related clerical support, preparing and using instructional materials, engaging in general housekeeping activities, and assisting with lunchroom activities and supervising nap and rest periods.

Requirements
- Standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of an approved General Education Development (GED) testing program
