Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of college or A.A. degree
- Pass a local assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction
- First Aid/CPR certificate within 6 months
- Physical strength evaluation through SIA
- Ability to lift, carry, and move students in or out of wheelchairs
- Ability to restrain adolescent students who may be acting out frustration and/or anger
