Job Description
Instructors are responsible for delivering educational materials and promoting an engaging learning environment for students. They utilize sound educational practices to help students achieve their educational and career goals.

Requirements

  • Utilize classroom and lab instruction, student assessment mechanisms, and classroom management techniques
  • Ensure instructional materials and equipment are ready for student use
  • Participate in ongoing faculty assessment and professional development activities
  • Actively participate in meetings and meet academic and administrative deadlines
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and regulatory bodies' guidelines
  • Possess an active certification or licensure (where required)
  • Have a minimum of 3 years' practical work experience in the field of instruction (non-degree and occupational associate degrees)
  • Have a minimum of 4 years' practical work experience in the field of instruction and a related degree at least at the same level as the course being taught (academic associate or bachelor's degree technical/occupational courses)
  • Have a master's degree with a minimum of 18 semester/24 quarter graduate credit hours in the content area (all online faculty)
  • Have 18 semester hours of coursework at any credential level in the subject (general education courses)
  • Demonstrate the highest levels of integrity and professionalism
  • Possess solid computer software skills including Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
  • Have strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Have the ability to work in an observation/coaching style environment
  • Have superior organizational and problem-resolution skills
  • Have a demonstrated commitment to customer service
  • Be able to qualify as an instructor per institutional and accreditation standards
