Role OverviewProvides advanced patient care to patients in a clinical setting in an area of specialization under the direction of a physician. Maintains records and writes orders and progress notes in patient charts as to status, treatments, and procedures.
What You Will Do
Obtain detailed history and perform physical examinations. Prescribes appropriate pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments. Collaborates with providers, and practice staff in identifying appropriate patients for care management.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must have certification/Licenses/Registration, and experience in nursing or physician assistant studies. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and throughout the duration of employment.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies
- Acute Care Certification (CPNP-AC) required
- Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the State of Texas Board of Nursing
- Current Texas Licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APRN)
- Current license as a Physician Assistant by the State of Texas Physician Assistant Board
- Specialty certification as required by department
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications
