Role OverviewS&B is seeking an Instrument Engineer for all phases of instrument development and equipment design for a project of significant size and complexity. The incumbent must be fully competent in performing all conventional aspects of Instrument Engineering and application of independent judgment for the evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation and modification of standard design engineering criteria, methods, and procedures.
What You Will Do
Meet with clients' technical staff to discuss technical information and features, prepare sketches and perform calculations for a detailed segment of a project, conduct field trips to existing plants to gather operating data and equipment information, and communicate equipment design to client and other design disciplines.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Requires a minimum of 10 years' experience in Instrument Engineering, registration as a licensed professional engineer is preferred, and ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Requirements
- Normally requires at least a four-year degree in Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Requires a minimum of 10 years' experience in Instrument Engineering (or equivalent working knowledge/experience)
- Registration as a licensed professional engineer is preferred
