Job Description
The Instrument Reprocessing Technician is responsible for inspecting and repairing surgical instruments, evaluating their efficiency, and performing preventative maintenance work to meet clinical care standards.
Requirements
Fundamental knowledge of electricity and how it relates to equipment (A/C and D/C current)
Knowledge of and experience with software applications for instrument management and tracking
Experience in hand tools, multimeters, soldering irons, and millimeter
Valid California Driver’s License
2-5 years in servicing medical- surgical instrument / devise instruments
Two-year associate degree in electronic technology or equivalent education in reprocessing, repair of surgical instruments or combination
