Role OverviewTristate Arthritis & Rheumatology is looking for an experienced Insurance/Billing Specialist to join our dedicated team in Crestview Hills, KY. What You Will Do
Process and submit medical claims to insurance carriers accurately and in a timely manner, verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments, review and resolve claim denials, rejections, and appeals, post insurance and patient payments, adjustments, and credits to accounts, follow up on outstanding accounts receivable and unpaid claims, communicate with patients regarding billing inquiries, balances, and payment plans, ensure compliance with coding guidelines, payer policies, and HIPAA regulations.

Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in medical billing, coding, or insurance verification
- Insurance Billing/Coding certification preferred
- Familiarity with rheumatology, specialty care, or physician office billing preferred
- Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) and practice management software
- Strong understanding of insurance payer guidelines, EOBs, and claim adjudication
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability
- Professional, patient-focused communication skills — both written and verbal
- Epic experience preferred
