Role OverviewThe Ohio Department of Insurance's Fraud and Enforcement Division is seeking a creative, self-motivated professional to fill an Insurance Investigation Officer 1 position within its Enforcement Unit. The role involves conducting administrative and criminal investigations related to unauthorized insurance transactions, agent misconduct, and insurance fraud.
What You Will Do
Key responsibilities include analyzing allegations of agent misconduct, conducting administrative investigations, gathering information and evidence, interviewing complainants and witnesses, and preparing investigative reports.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience in the insurance field or a related entity, or equivalent experience in law enforcement, and will be able to perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in the insurance field or a related entity
- 6 months of experience or 6 months of training in operating a computer terminal and/or personal computer
- Completion of an undergraduate core program in business, insurance, or criminal justice
- Equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment
