Insurance Producer / Agent

The Commercial Lines Producer is responsible for generating new commercial insurance business, developing new client relationships, and building a profitable book of business. This individual will actively prospect for new accounts, identify business opportunities, conduct client meetings, develop insurance proposals, and close new business, as well as handle renewals on their existing book of business.

What You Will Do

Proactively identify, prospect, and pursue new commercial insurance accounts. Develop and maintain a consistent pipeline of prospective clients. Generate new business through networking, referrals, cold calling, business development activities, and community involvement.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2–4 years of prior sales experience required.
• Business-to-business (B2B) sales experience strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to prospect, develop relationships, and close new business.
• No prior insurance industry experience necessary.
• Active Kansas Property & Casualty insurance license preferred, but not required at time of hire.
• Willingness to obtain the necessary insurance licensing and complete training.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a competitive and goal-oriented attitude.
• Self-starter who does not need to be constantly managed or motivated.
• Comfortable with prospecting, cold calling, networking, and asking for the business.
• Strong relationship-building and networking abilities.
• Excellent organization, time management, and follow-through.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
