Role Overview

The Insurance Specialist II will be responsible for verifying insurance coverage and eligibility for patients, ensuring that all necessary information is accurate and up-to-date, and coordinating with other departments and ancillary areas as needed. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, decision-making abilities, and the ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

What You Will Do

The Insurance Specialist II will monitor patient work queues, coordinate with physician's offices and ancillary departments, and enter accurate information into computer systems. They will also verify insurance information, create and call patients with cost estimates, and ensure that all exams are scheduled with proper patient class and clinical indicators.

Requirements

  • 3 years of benefit verification/authorization experience
  • 1 year of Customer Service/Customer service experience
  • 3 years of Clinical/Medical/Precertification/Predetermination/Authorizations/Verification experience
  • 4 years of end user Desktop Tools experience
  • 1 year of EPIC experience
