Role Overview

The Intake and Customer Service Specialist will interact with customers, address inquiries, and resolve client complaints. They will provide high-level customer service support, handle medical billing tasks, and assure the accessibility of effective community services.

What You Will Do

The main responsibilities of this role include welcoming people to the department, answering phone calls, orienting individuals to service benefits, and providing information on how to access services. The Specialist will also assist with resolving local complaints, grievances, and appeals processes.

Requirements

  • High School or GED
  • Associate degree preferred
  • Health Administration, Business Administration or related field approved by Human Resources
  • At least 3-5 years previous workforce development experience in a funded program or equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training approved by Human Resources
