Role OverviewThe Intake Specialist assists individuals and families in connecting to resources by performing intake, assessments, referrals, service coordination, and follow-up. This work includes entering data into various computer software systems, maintaining customer files, scheduling appointments, conducting interviews, and working with agency teams to provide a comprehensive approach to meeting customer needs.
What You Will Do
The main day-to-day responsibilities of the Intake Specialist include obtaining household information from customers, gathering and recording information into software systems, assessing and prioritizing customer needs, identifying customer resources, building rapport with customers, and performing data entry and maintaining current knowledge of software changes and updates.

Requirements
- At least two years of experience working in a social service-based program
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate's degree preferred
- Must pass required background checks
- Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and provide proof of insurance
