Role OverviewMercor is seeking an Intellectual Property Expert - Patents to construct IP scenarios, build tasks, and develop scenarios using patent search platforms and IP docketing systems. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience as an IP attorney or patent agent and direct ownership of patent prosecution portfolios, licensing negotiations, or IP litigation matters.
What You Will Do
The successful candidate will construct IP scenarios for patent prosecution, portfolio strategy, and complex licensing or technology transfer processes. They will also build tasks across patent prosecution, IP litigation, trademark and copyright practice, and freedom-to-operate analysis.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have fluency in IP tooling and methodologies, understanding of USPTO/EPO procedure and international treaty systems. They will also be able to apply IP methodologies like patentability analysis and claim construction to US and International standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years as an IP attorney or patent agent at a major IP firm or corporate IP department
