Role Overview

As an Intermediate Systems Design Engineer – Nuclear, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of complex, high reliability engineered systems supporting advanced nuclear and regulated industrial applications. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary project team, helping translate customer and regulatory requirements into robust system designs. This role offers the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of customer processes and technology while contributing to solutions where safety, quality, and performance are critical.

What You Will Do

Your main day-to-day responsibilities will include designing cam, servo, and air-operated stations, ensuring designs are functional, robust, and cost-effective, and innovating to incorporate ATS standards and regulatory requirements. You will also participate in internal and customer design reviews, prepare pneumatic and timing diagrams, and work with suppliers to find/economical solutions to design issues.

Requirements

  • College degree in mechanical engineering, technology or equivalent experience
  • Two to six (2-6) years of automation experience
  • Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD, 3D Solid Works or similar CAD systems
  • Proficient with computers, including programs such as AutoCAD, Solid Works, Microsoft Office suite, etc.
  • Able to operate fax machines, copiers, printers/plotters, etc.
  • Proficient with inspection and measuring tools such as scales, calipers, micrometers, etc.
