Role OverviewThe Intern will assist attorneys and legal staff on a variety of projects and matters, including conducting legal research, drafting and reviewing contracts, supporting litigation, and reviewing proposed legislation.

The successful candidate will gain practical, hands-on experience in areas that may include utility and pipeline regulation, commercial contracts, litigation, corporate governance, employment law, environmental compliance, and real estate transactions.

Requirements
- Enrolled in an ABA-accredited Juris Doctor program
- Be in good academic standing
- Expect to complete at least two years of study before the internship begins in May 2027
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communications skills
- Ability to work onsite at the company's corporate office in Bismarck, North Dakota
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet individual and team deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with attorneys, business clients, management, and external parties
- A business-minded, practical, and solution-oriented approach to legal work and internal client service
