Role Overview

The Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program is a 5-year, full-time academic program that is designed to meet APA standards of accreditation for doctoral programs in health service psychology and requirements for Licensed Psychologists in the State of Texas. Training consists of a graded sequence of didactic and experiential learning activities designed to enhance students' competencies in research, ethical and legal standards, individual and cultural diversity, professional attitudes and values, communication and interpersonal skills, assessment, intervention, supervision, consultation, and inter-professional skills.

What You Will Do

Assists with study design and protocol development, recruits, screens, and consents research participants as appropriate, conducts clinical interviews/assessment or chart abstraction as appropriate, manages research databases, ensures data integration, participates in regular meetings with the supervising investigator(s) and other project staff, maintains regulatory documentation, assists with literature reviews and creation of scholarly products.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Must be enrolled in a clinical psychology doctoral program, experiences in clinical research will complement pre-clinical didactic training during the first year of study by providing interns with the opportunity to learn and contribute to the creation of psychological knowledge through study design, study execution, and/or data analysis.
