Job Description
ECRI is seeking an Intern, Devices, Therapeutics, and Technology to support its mission of reducing preventable harm by contributing to the evaluation of emerging healthcare technologies. The intern will work alongside experienced engineers, scientists, and researchers to conduct structured evaluations, support laboratory testing, synthesize evidence, and contribute to deliverables that inform healthcare providers, payors, manufacturers, and policymakers.

Requirements

  • Assist in the evaluation of AI-enabled tools used in clinical and administrative healthcare settings
  • Support structured assessments of wellness devices, wearables, and consumer health technologies
  • Contribute to evaluations of capital equipment and other healthcare technologies
  • Research regulatory classifications and frameworks relevant to assigned technologies
  • Participate in biomedical engineering laboratory testing of medical devices and health technologies
  • Conduct structured literature searches using scientific databases and regulatory databases
  • Summarize and synthesize evidence findings into clear, organized written summaries
  • Contribute to the development of evaluation reports, briefing documents, data summaries, and presentations
  • Assist in maintaining organized records, databases, and project documentation
