Job Description
Planet is seeking an intern to assist in designing and building a Manager Essentials program. The program aims to equip managers with goal alignment, feedback, and coaching skills. The intern will work closely with the L&D Program Manager to develop interactive learning content and design courses in Skilljar. This is a hands-on instructional design role that requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
Requirements
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Learning Sciences, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Education, or a related field.
Genuine interest in how people learn — you are curious about adult learning theory, instructional design principles, and what makes training actually change behavior rather than just check a box.
Comfort with technology platforms and a willingness to learn new tools quickly — you will be working in Rise and Skilljar, and while prior experience is not required, you need to be someone who can pick up new software without extensive hand-holding.
Solid attention to detail and organizational skills — course design requires precision in sequencing, formatting, and content accuracy.
Good writing skills for developing clear, concise instructional content that is accessible to a diverse audience of managers with varying experience levels.
Ability to work collaboratively with the L&D Program Manager on a shared project, taking direction while also contributing your own ideas and creative problem-solving.
Comfort with ambiguity — this program is being built for the first time, which means some aspects will evolve as you go. You need to be energized by that, not frustrated.
