Role Overview

The Internal Audit Associate works as a member of the Financial Institution Group's (FIG) Internal Audit team to provide internal audit services to financial institution clients. The role involves identifying and evaluating processes and risks to determine the design and effectiveness of internal controls. The Associate will exercise independent judgment and discretion based on their internal audit knowledge of processes, risks, controls, and regulations.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include conducting audit work with integrity, maintaining confidentiality of information obtained during audits, and performing audit procedures in accordance with approved engagement objectives, scope, and methodology. The Associate will also assist in conducting risk-based engagements, prepare clear and accurate workpapers, and communicate audit observations professionally.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent degree
  • CIA or CPA License preferred, CIA or CPA-eligible, or has a progressive plan toward passing the CIA or CPA exam in place
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking skills, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience performing financial, operational, or system audits a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technology platforms
  • Ability to work independently, but also in a team environment
