Project Summary:
Carlisle Construction Materials is seeking a motivated Internal Communications Intern to join our team in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. This Summer internship offers a hands-on opportunity to learn both the art and science of modern corporate communications—combining data, metrics, and insights with creative content and campaign execution.
In this role, you’ll support internal communications initiatives across multiple platforms, gaining a behind-the-scenes understanding of how communications connect to broader organizational strategy. You’ll help gather and analyze information, translate insights into clear messaging, and collaborate with team members to plan and deliver impactful internal communications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
As an Internal Communications Intern, you will contribute to projects and daily work that support company-wide communication efforts. Responsibilities include:
Research & insights
Conduct desktop research and gather internal/external information to support communications priorities and messaging.
Collect and analyze communication metrics to identify trends and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
Content & campaign support
Draft, review, edit, and help execute internal communications across multiple channels (e.g., announcements, updates, campaigns).
Contribute ideas and support development of content/campaign concepts based on insights, feedback, and business needs.
Stakeholder coordination
Support stakeholder outreach and interviews to inform communications.
Coordinate meetings (agendas, notes, follow-ups) and assist with timeline and project tracking.
Platform & process support
Assist with updates and improvements to internal communications platforms and content.
Help maintain documentation and streamline team processes as needed.
Qualifications:
Pursuing a degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
Familiarity with Microsoft Office (MS Office)
