Job Description
Role Overview

This is a hands-on, relationship-driven operations role — not a desk-based analytics or reporting role. The person will own first-mile pickup and last-mile delivery end-to-end, have real working relationships with local and global logistics vendors, and be comfortable being on the ground at ports, warehouses, and vendor sites.

What You Will Do

The person will be responsible for managing and coordinating inbound and outbound logistics operations, including transportation and warehousing, building and maintaining relationships with local and global logistics vendors, and ensuring smooth and compliant customs clearance for imports and exports.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of hands-on experience in logistics, freight, or international trade operations, existing relationships with US Customs Brokers, freight forwarders, and local trucking/logistics vendors, and a solid working knowledge of US customs procedures, import/export documentation, and Incoterms.

Requirements

  • Experience liaising directly with sales teams and customers on operational matters
  • Comfortable being on the ground — visiting ports, warehouses, and vendor sites as needed
  • Experience working with 3PLs, warehouses, carriers, and other logistics service providers
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues quickly by working the phones and vendor relationships
  • Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work daily across India–US time zones
  • Comfortable using Excel and ERP/TMS systems for day-to-day tracking
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, or a related field (preferred, not mandatory with relevant hands-on experience)
