Role Overview

Join Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) as an International Security Analyst to make a real impact on nuclear security. The role involves leading projects, managing international engagements, and developing strategic approaches to reduce nuclear security risks. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team supporting the Global Materials Security Program within the Global Security Principal Directorate’s Nuclear Threat Reduction (N) Program.

What You Will Do

As an International Security Analyst, you will lead and manage projects, serve as the primary technical point of contact for relevant technical and policy areas, and represent the program to sponsors and other U.S. Government organizations. You will also develop and maintain an integrated strategy for program areas, produce technical presentations and reports, and travel extensively.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in physical science, engineering, international relations, political science, or other relevant field
  • Advanced leadership, communication, and team-building skills
  • Significant experience managing million-dollar budgets and balancing complex technical and budgetary priorities
  • Expert problem-solving, analytical, technical, and organizational skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DOE (L/Q)-level security clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship
