Role Overview

Join Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) as an International Security Analyst to support work on nuclear security, with an emphasis on international nuclear security. You will assess international nuclear security problems, formulate strategic approaches to reduce risk, and implement nuclear security initiatives in the areas of human capital development, physical security system improvements, and international engagement to strengthen nuclear security capacity worldwide.

What You Will Do

As an International Security Analyst, you will lead, manage, and coordinate projects within the GMS international nuclear security program, including development of country strategies, bi-lateral relationship management, team leadership, sponsor reporting, and funding oversight. You will also serve as the primary technical point of contact for relevant technical and policy areas associated with the program's international nuclear security mission area and sponsors.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in physical science, engineering, international relations, political science, or other relevant field or the equivalent combination of education and professional experience
  • Advanced leadership, communication, and team-building skills
  • Significant experience managing million-dollar budgets and effectively balancing highly complex technical and budgetary priorities
  • Expert problem-solving, analytical, technical, and organizational skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DOE (L/Q)-level security clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship
