Role OverviewFirefly has year-round engineering-focused internship opportunities for our launch location in Vandenberg, CA. As a Firefly Intern, you will support the Launch Team to perform pad upgrades, launch support, data automation, and other tasks required to keep an active launch site up and running! Ideal candidates will know specific areas such as Mechanical Design, Electrical Engineering, Fluid Systems, Testing, Propulsion systems, or Software Development.
What You Will Do
Solve launch site problems, perform engineering behind technical solutions, create and review procedures, interface with coworkers and the range, and assist with Static fire and launch activities.

Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled in either a BS or MS program (or a recent graduate) at an accredited four-year university or college.
- Degree must be focused on engineering, mathematics, or science
- Willing to work in a hands-on, constantly evolving environment
- Detail-oriented, managing multiple priorities while maintaining focus towards a common goal
- Strong comprehension of design fundamentals, Aerospace experience a plus
- Communicates effectively, verbal and written
- Able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks
- Willingness to be on the pad, outside, and work overtime as required during launch campaigns
