Role OverviewThe Internship and Career Coordinator works with the Good Shepherd Services (GSS) team to develop, implement, and connect students to an internship experience that aims to empower and prepare them for life after high school. Through individual and group job readiness and career exploration and development activities and experiences, the ICC works with students to prepare for the world of work, identify career interests, and connect them to opportunities that facilitate employment.
What You Will Do
Major duties include outreach to potential internship providers and employers, creating and maintaining internship opportunities, matching and placing participants into placements, and developing curriculum and facilitating weekly seminar groups. The ICC will also conduct administrative tasks, onboard and orientate new student interns, and collaborate with students' Advocate Counselor.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, experience working with adolescents in employment or vocational field, and strong organizational, teamwork, verbal, and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to travel to GSS Program Sites throughout the respective borough are also required.
