Role OverviewThe Internship and Career Coordinator works with the Good Shepherd Services (GSS) team to develop, implement, and connect students to an internship experience that aims to empower and prepare them for life after high school. The role involves outreach to potential internship providers, creating and maintaining internship opportunities, matching and placing participants, and overseeing their progress. The Coordinator also develops curriculum, facilitates seminar groups, and conducts administrative tasks.

Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have experience working with adolescents in employment or vocational fields, strong organizational, teamwork, verbal, and written communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Bilingual Spanish/French is preferred. The Coordinator must be able to travel to GSS Program Sites throughout the respective borough and work weekends, including overnight when necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- Bilingual Spanish/French preferred
- Experience working with adolescents in employment or vocational field in 1:1 and group sessions
- Strong organizational, teamwork, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to travel to GSS Program Sites throughout the respective borough
- Ability to work weekends, including overnight when necessary
- Commitment to work from a strength-based and youth development perspective
