Role OverviewPlans and provides for appropriate classroom learning experiences for students, creating an atmosphere conducive to intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development. Responsible for supervising students, monitoring outcomes, and communicating with students, parents, staff, and the community.

Develops and implements instructional plans, selects and modifies materials, and maintains records. Provides instruction that reflects multiple perspectives and multicultural education, and infuses technology into the curriculum.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education with appropriate subject area
- Hold or be qualified to hold a North Carolina Professional Educator's License in a teaching content area
- Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Apps
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Strategic problem-solving skills
- Ability to prepare course objectives and outlines
- Ability to provide instruction that reflects multiple perspectives and multicultural education
- Ability to infuse technology into the curriculum
