Job Description
The Special Education teacher is responsible for implementing research-based instructional strategies to support students' learning and achievement. This includes developing a school and classroom culture conducive to student learning, providing individualized instruction, and assessing student proficiency levels. The teacher must maintain competency in subject matter areas, employ appropriate assessment methods, and promote school district goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education
  • Alaska Teacher Certificate
  • Three years of experience in education
  • Inupiaq, Language, History & Culture experience preferred
