Role OverviewThe position of Interviewing Clerk OPS is a paraprofessional role assigned to the Office of Economic Self-Sufficiency with primary responsibility for reviewing applications to collect demographic information and/or provide information and referral services. This position is ideal for someone who has excellent computer/data entry skills, a high degree of organizational skills and enjoys the challenge of tight deadlines. The position is open, competitive, and offers a salary of $34,760.00 annually.
What You Will Do
The typical duties of the Interviewing Clerk OPS include determining eligibility for expedited food assistance services, explaining eligibility to applicants and recipients, entering client data into a database, maintaining necessary files and records, completing general clerical duties, answering phones, using office equipment, conducting application registration, scheduling appointments, performing intake interviews, and conducting statewide clearance.

Requirements
- A high school diploma or its equivalent
- Two years of clerical or public contact experience
- College education from an accredited institution or vocational/technical training can substitute at the rate of 30 semester, 45 quarter or 720 class room hours for each year of the required experience
