Role Overview

As an intraoperative nurse, you will play a critical role in the operating room, managing the environment, ensuring patient safety, and supporting the surgical team during procedures. You will act as the patient's advocate throughout the intraoperative phase, coordinating care and maintaining sterile conditions.

What You Will Do

Your main responsibilities will include performing pre, intra, and immediate post-procedure assessments, setting up rooms for standardized procedures, verifying equipment and supplies, and executing standard positioning and safety checks.

Requirements

  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Utah
  • Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system
  • Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects up to 100 pounds
