Role OverviewThe successful candidate is responsible for implementing the academic component of the Upward Bound Program by introducing high school students to college and career pathways in Chemistry. The instructor will provide guidance and mentorship while helping students explore educational requirements, career opportunities, and professional pathways within chemistry and related fields.
What You Will Do
The instructor will teach one 50-minute class period each Thursday evening, providing guidance and mentorship to high school students. The program dates run from September 24th through December 10th.
Why It Might Be a Fit
A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Education, and/or a related field is required, and a Master's degree is preferred. Experience working with high school students or in a college-preparatory program is preferred.
