Role Overview

The Inventory Control SSC Manager leads the day-to-day performance and service delivery of the office-based shared services team supporting inventory control across all warehouse locations.

What You Will Do

Translate department strategy, customer requirements, and performance expectations into daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly execution plans, manage inventory control workflow, and oversee replenishment, allocation, shipment tracking, and inventory distribution.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or supply chain management.
  • Experience in warehouse safety and safety training.
  • 3PL Experience a Plus.
  • Synapse WMS Experience a Plus.
  • Experience working with multiple warehouse locations or distribution environments preferred.
  • Intermediate algebra and financial math are a must.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems (e.g., WMS, ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis) with basic knowledge of Macros, Access, data entry and proficient computer abilities.
  • Ability to analyze large datasets and create reports and dashboards to track KPIs.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies, trends, and root causes.
  • Ability to report/track trending and historical data.
  • Experience performing reconciliations and resolving inventory variances.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and reporting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to analyze business cases effectively.
  • Ability to respond to emails and inquiries in a timely, clear, and professional manner.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to deadlines and accuracy.
  • Understanding of inventory control processes, cycle counting, and reconciliation procedures.
  • Familiarity with pallet tracking systems (e.g., CHEP, PECO) and material handling processes.
  • Knowledge of demand forecasting and inventory planning concepts is a plus.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate, read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
