Job Description
An Investigative Reporter at WIS joins a market-leading, award-winning local newsroom to research, develop, and create investigative content for all platforms. Your knowledge of the Freedom of Information Act and other civil rights will help you hold the powerful accountable, give voice to the voiceless, and empower audiences with information that impacts their lives.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years' experience as an Investigative Reporter
  • Refined ability to write for both broadcast & digital presentation
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field
  • Understanding of and adherence to AP Style for digital platforms and broadcasting writing for TV
  • Ability to operate a field camera, editing, and lighting equipment
  • Ability to lift/carry equipment ranging from 35-50 lbs
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
