Job Description
Chromalloy is a global engineering & solutions company that develops, manufactures, and repairs critical turbine components for aircraft engines and gas turbines. As an Investment Caster, you will perform duties such as setting control and operating air ladle and rollover melting equipment, and undergo training for more advanced casting techniques.

Requirements

  • Reads engineering practices for each work order to ensure adherence to approved processes.
  • Loads and unloads preheat ovens.
  • Sets and verifies oven temperatures.
  • Gets casting area ready for each pour by ensuring that all needed supplies are available and ready for use.
  • Checks to make sure correct alloy is used in accordance with the requirements of each work order.
  • Loads preheated molds on rollover or inside vacuum chamber to begin the casting process.
  • Pull mold from rollover or vacuum chamber after metal is poured and places it in designated area.
  • Apply hot top to mold as required.
  • Ensure that all personal protective equipment is in good working order.
  • Wears all required personal protective equipment.
  • Complete all required documentation.
  • Maintains a clean, orderly and safe work area.
